Inspiring Young Ladies

Today I came across VERY inspiring stories of young ladies making a difference in the world.  I had to share their tales here, as they represent hope for our society, & future generations of women...

  • Ruby Eisenbud is a young lady who will undoubtedly make a big difference in this world!  She has already co-founded a girl-centered website/online girls' magazine, with the help of her mother, dedicated to the concept of connecting with and empowering fellow girls world-wide. Their site goGIRL global.com provides a place for conscientious young, female journalists to report on important happenings locally, nationally, or globally, focusing on stories that showcase advocating for girls & women.  It's a free resource where young girls, and caring adults, can continue encouraging girls to find their voice. Have a story?  Email her at: info@gogirlglobal.com  -- Ruby blogs for the site, travels, and participates in events like TEDxYouth Day2012, where she spoke on the importance of feminism.  This girl ROCKS!  She is wise beyond her years, dedicated and determined to make a difference.  I am inspired by her message.

  • In Nigeria, other teens are making a difference. Adebola Duro-Aina along with three friends set out to solve the electricity problem in her community. They spent nine months working with their science teacher after school to create a new generator, one that is urine-powered!  Imagine that!  Not only are they rethinking electricity, but they are doing so in a sustainable way. See what happens when we value and educate girls?!  Read more about these amazing ladies.
