Hands Up! (Patriots’ Prayer)

Clashing

ideals

from Atlantic

to Pacific.

Fear 

as raw as 

handcuffed flesh.

Blue fabric

kneeling 

back, forcing the last 

breath

of freedom

from ribs

branded by

asphalt, 

patterns

repeating...

suffocating 

the hope

that All 

lives 

matter.

——Responding (generally) to police brutality against black and brown Americans, specifically all the murders of black men & women at the hands of police in the past few months (some killed under the knees of officers, handcuffed and face down on the street...suffocating.)

Reacting (specifically) to the Black Lives Matter protests in Oregon, and the “counter protestors” (aka: terrorists), a Far right Group called Patriots Prayer, who killed a Portland peaceful BLM protestor 

.... “counter protestors” in pick up trucks sprayed (maise) at protestors and wielded guns , flying Trump flags). Similar to the Proud Boyz in the south.
