Little lunar goddess 

shining brightly

despite your dark environment 

I marvel at your 

beauty.

Your courageous light 

Illuminates hope, faith ... 

An unlikely leader, 

You naively, fiercely

defy society’s gravitational pull

demanding to be seen. 

Like all prophets,

Your message is of peace...

Easily overlooked 

amid the deafening sounds

of “grown-up” solutions,

this loving message

is missed once again. 

Yet, I will follow your journey 

Like the wise men 

followed their star,

another heavenly guide 

inspiring belief

in miracles.
